How do I reserve a conference room, library instruction lab, or other large meeting space in the Library?

Answer

Certain spaces within the Library are available for reservation by members of our campus community.

Mancillas Courtyard, Fifth Floor Spaces, Conference Rooms

The Mancillas Courtyard (second floor exterior space), Fifth Floor Event Gallery (Piano Room), Fifth Floor South Commons Area, and conference rooms 1012 and 2058 on the first and second floors within the Library can only be reserved by campus departments and units for campus-wide or department/unit-level events. No student-related organizations are eligible to reserve these areas. For requests to reserve these spaces, please contact Yvette Mack (ymack@csudh.edu) for more information.

Library Instruction Labs

The Library's Instruction Labs (2021 A-B) are reserved primarily for library-related instruction. First priority is to CSUDH course-related library instruction sessions taught by or with a librarian followed by:

  • library-based classes, workshops, or seminars,
  • library staff instruction, training, and development programs or workshops,
  • information literacy programming for affiliated groups,
  • and finally other groups when appropriate.

All requests for the approval of non-library sponsored events should be directed to Alisa Banks (abanks@csudh.edu). For more information and policy details regarding reservation and use of the library labs, please visit our Reservation Policy page.

Group Study Rooms

Group study rooms in the University Library may be reserved by CSUDH students only and are managed by the Technology Checkout Program. For more information, please visit our Group Study Room Services page.
