Q. How do I cite in ASA format?

Answer

The American Sociological Association (ASA) has its own citation style for sociology.

For a printable cheat sheet of common formats for a bibliography and in-text citations in ASA please see Quick tips for ASA Style (at the ASA website).

Databases owned by ProQuest, such as Sociological Abstracts, will provide a pre-made ASA citation for you.

OneSearch and EBSCO owned databases do not have ASA as an option, however, you can use the MLA option and then rearrange it to quickly generate an ASA citation.
