Q. Where is the Writing Center?

The Writing Center is located on the 3rd Floor of Library North and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The WC supports students at all levels and in all courses, departments, and programs. WC works with student writers at any stage of the writing process, from setting goals, generating topics, and clarifying ideas to incorporating source materials, organizing, and revising. The WC also supports reading success, including planning, mapping, annotating, interpretation, analysis, and summarizing and paraphrasing source texts. Multimedia and multimodal projects are invited and always welcome.

WC highly recommends that students schedule appointments in advance to ensure they are seen at their preferred time. The spring semester schedule is available here: https://csudh.mywconline.net/index.php

Students must be registered with the online scheduling system to view the schedule and make an appointment. Those who are not yet registered may do so by following the instructions in the attached document. The instructions include a QR code that students can scan with a mobile phone for immediate access to the online scheduling site. WC can also help students register with our online scheduling system in the Writing Center. Drop-ins are also welcome in the WC, though walk-in appointments are always subject to tutor availability.

Faculty and staff can email Dr. Mara Lee Grayson with any questions: mgrayson@csudh.edu; students should contact WritingCenter@csudh.edu.
