How can I tell if a study uses qualitative or quantitative methods?

How can I find an article using a specific methodology?

Answer

A great resource which will help you determine what is qualitative or quantitative is our database, SAGE Research Methods. Check out their methods map for definitions and examples. You'll also be able to search for articles by a particular method in SAGE.

Within other search systems using keywords to narrow your results to a particular methodology is a great strategy. Some resources such as PubMed and PsycInfo will also provide filters to narrow your results.
