Where can I find the General Social Survey (GSS)?
Answer
Since 1972, the General Social Survey has provided politicians, policymakers, and scholars with a clear and unbiased perspective on what Americans think and feel about such issues as national spending priorities, crime and punishment, intergroup relations, and confidence in institutions. You can find the raw data for download in SPSS on their website or in ICPSR.
If you're looking for quick answers and trends we recommend the GSS Key Trends section of their website: GSS Key Trends
