Using Kurzweil3000 (Web only) to Convert PDF to Speech:

Attention: This process requires an active account from CSUDH Student disAbility Resource Center (SdRC). Please contact the SdRC to get an account.
Step 1: Download the book chapters as PDFs and save them in the “Public” folder, as shown in the image below. The “Public” folder allows other users to access the saved documents.
Step 2: Click open the Kurzweil3000 (Web only); Enter User Name & PW.
Step 3: Follow the image below to upload your document:
Step 4: Double click on the file name you just uploaded to open to the next step:
Step 5. Select the page range for the document and click "Submit." If no page range is specified, the system will process and convert the entire textbook or the chapters you downloaded.
Step 6: Once the conversion is complete, the file will be available in the "Public" folder (your selected folder). Copy the URL and send it to your email. From there, as shown in the image below, you can access the speech and listen to it on your mobile phone.
